2025-26 Smart Start Week 20

During our Letter B Week, friends explored, created, and learned through hands-on play and discovery. Creativity bloomed as we embellished vases for our pine cone flower sculptures using beautiful buttons. We experimented with bubble painting, watching colors mix and burst, and we created rich textures by mashing paint and printing with bubble wrap.

Our investigations continued as we explored the anatomy of bugs, carefully examining them on the light table and noticing their tiny details. Sensory play sparked excitement as we dug for bugs in beans, then sorted them by different characteristics.

Building and imaginative play were especially meaningful this week. Friends spent time building elaborate structures and spaces, strengthening problem-solving and collaboration skills. In dramatic play, the classroom was full of nurturing moments as friends cared for babies, and creativity shined in our barber/beauty shop, where friends practiced styling, role-playing, and social connection.

It was a busy, joyful week full of curiosity, creativity, and lots of B discoveries!
