2025-26 Smart Start Week 32

This week, we spent time reviewing our letters and revisiting some of our favorite stories from throughout the year. We also brought back many of our favorite invitations and explorations to enjoy together one more time before summer begins.

Friends immersed themselves in imaginative play in our Home Center, visited the Hair Salon, and explored creativity in the Open Studio as they created puppets, sculptures, landscapes, and many other unique works of art. Builders worked together to construct castles, towers, and enclosures using a variety of materials and endless imagination.

One special highlight of the week was Show and Tell, where friends brought favorite items from home to share with classmates. It was such a joy to see the excitement, pride, and conversations that unfolded as children shared pieces of what they love with one another.

Another favorite tradition was our Outdoor Sensory Exploration Day! Friends explored chia slime, Oobleck, Orbeez, bubbles, and water tables while engaging all of their senses through play and discovery. Children used their imaginations to serve lemonade to one another at the Lemonade Stand and collaborated to construct creative structures using shaving cream and pool noodle pieces. The laughter, teamwork, and curiosity throughout the day created memories we will treasure.

We wrapped up our week — and our school year — with snow cones and a special story read by Ms. Christy called See You Later, Alligator! The story reminded us that goodbyes are often simply “see you later.” Whether we see our friends at t-ball games, swimming this summer, next year at Smart Start, or years from now as our paths cross again, we are grateful for the memories we have made together.

As a team, we deeply appreciate the time we have spent with your children this year and value the trust you have placed in us as we worked together to help lay a foundation for learning, creativity, friendship, and growth.

We hope your family has a wonderful summer filled with adventure, rest, and special moments together!

See you soon,

The Smart Start Team
