2025-26 Smart Start Week 15

This week, the letter S invited us to slow down and notice the many small moments that make this season meaningful. From Santa to sprinkles, the Christmas season was our inspiration and it was evident in our actions and in our creations!

We leaned into the idea of sweetness—not just in the festive treats, but in kind words, helping hands, and thoughtful choices. The Christmas spirit filled our classroom as friends worked side by side, creating, imagining, and celebrating together. Even our superheroes suspended in the air became a reminder of confidence, courage, and believing in what we can do when we work together.

Curiosity guided our scientific explorations as we wondered together whether different objects would sink or float. Children made predictions, tested their ideas, and observed what happened, learning that discovery often comes from asking questions and trying again. These moments of exploration encouraged problem-solving, patience, and thoughtful observation.

A visit from Santa brought excitement, but also a sense of wonder and tradition that felt deeply rooted in the joy of childhood. Through simple activities like building Christmas trees from sugar cones and sprinkles, we practiced patience, creativity, and pride in our work.

Our time in the Santa Shop was especially meaningful as children carefully selected gifts for loved ones, showing thoughtfulness and generosity. We ended the week gathered together, sharing a special Christmas snack and opening gifts for our classroom.

We are deeply grateful to our families for supporting our traditions throughout the year and helping make these moments so meaningful for the children. Your partnership allows us to create experiences rooted in joy, connection, and community. We wish you a very Merry Christmas and a happy, healthy New Year.We are deeply grateful to our families for supporting our traditions throughout the year and helping make these moments so meaningful for the children.
