Smart Start Week 33

Week 33 was a week of Celebration! We reviewed letters and their sounds, read some of our teachers’ favorite books, and brought some of our favorite invitations back from throughout this year. Friends explored, created, laughed, and used their imagination while enjoying the last few days of Smart Start.

Favorite invitations included Potato Head, color mixing and creating shapes with Play-Doh, practicing letter and sound identification, and sharing stories in Circle!

Following the morning name practice, artists engaged with an assortment of materials to express their creativity, including various watercolor projects, tempera paint sticks, our recycled art collaboration, and painting areas on a barn quilt.

Builders brought their ideas to life on both small and large scales using Legos and cardboard boxes.

The Queen's Quarters returned last week, once again proving to be a popular invitation for everyone!

Kinetic sand and a tray full of sensory fidgets were not the only sensory invitations. An equally popular experience this week was slime, a proven favorite.

A few other snapshot of our favorite things from this week.

Some favorite experiences from the Wiggle Room!

Another favorite for friends…. Breaking out into spontaneous song, and friends join in.

The reasons we celebrate!

Have a wonderful weekend!
