Smart Start Week 32

Last week marked the first time all of our friends could gather, play, share stories, move and groove, create, and prepare for our Smart Start Celebration! We have finished using each letter of the alphabet as inspiration for our art and movement concepts, and invitations, so we have brought back some favorite elements from our 2024-25 Smart Start year. Additionally, we are taking a new approach to our blog to gather your feedback as we conclude this school year. Your input is important to us as we seek ways to improve and better serve our students and families.
The Kentucky Derby, held on the first Saturday of May, is a highly popular event in the Bluegrass State, drawing the rich and famous from all over. The only thing that could rival the excitement was the Smart Start Derby!

Meet our jockeys and their horses.
Here are some pictures and videos of our jockeys and their horses in training for the 2025 Smart Start Derby! Watch the form of these beautiful horses as they navigate through the course.
Some of our favorite things this year have been superheroes, sensory bin exploration, creating with tempera sticks, silicone sensory mats and strings, and Circle Time with friends!
We love finding new ways to learn about letters!

We loved making a special keepsake to take home for Mother’s Day!
Our initial Review Week was merely the beginning of all the things we've enjoyed this school year! We are excited to continue next week, bringing back more of the things our friends have loved this year. Happy Mother’s Day!
