Intro to Lyrical Dance: ages 8 - 12

Class Description

Important: This session will meet for 4 weeks to accommodate the Thanksgiving holiday schedule. This beginner-friendly class introduces older children to the expressive art of lyrical dance. Students will learn foundational dance movements and creative movement techniques, improve flexibility, and explore storytelling through age-appropriate music and choreography. In a fun and supportive environment, this class encourages creativity, confidence, and a love for movement. No prior dance experience is needed! Dress Expectations and more: Hair Tied Back Leggings or Tights Fitted Shirt –– not oversized Jazz Shoes or just Bare Feet No Gum Bring Clear Water to Drink Meet your instructors! Kate Hoskins has been dancing her whole life and has danced competitively for the past three years. She will be working with Ms. Cheryl and is excited and passionate about working with children. Cheryl Adams has a Master of Fine Arts in dance, is a Certified Movement Analyst and Barre Above instructor. Cheryl founded Artworks to offer the community a range of experiences in the arts. She will be mentoring Kate in this class.
