This week, our focus was on our beautiful blue planet. In particular, we talked about the wonder that is WATER. We learned about the water cycle and talked about how important it is to keep our water clean. We investigated ocean treasures like shells, coral, and barnacles with magnifying glasses and learned about some of the spectacular creatures who call the ocean home.
We used our light table to look at some X-rays...insect x-rays.
And what would letter X week be without a xylophone to play!
For our visual art piece this week we created pulled-yarn flowers. This technique creates two symmetrical, mirrored images.
We rounded out the week with writing practice, puzzles, play dough, and lots, lots more.
Coming up next week...Z! We made it!
