Iguana painting and study
Building inspired by the book Iggy Peck Architect

Ice Painting
Scarecrow Sensory Bin

Our science lessons this week involved ice and ice cream. We are beginning to learn about states of matter and how temperature changes things. Students used their observation skills to identify different liquids and then predicted which ones would freeze and how fast. We are learning basic ideas about gathering and organizing data.
In addition to predictions about which liquids would freeze, we also made our own ice cream in the classroom followed by topping and taste-testing.
Fine arts invitations this week included moving on different levels and exploring pathways and an introduction to music. Students explored the difference between noise and music, were introduced to percussion instruments and took their first steps toward playing music together!
