Welcome to ArtWorks!
Community Arts Education Center
We are a non-profit community arts center located in Russell County, Kentucky in the city of Jamestown. You can find us on The Historic Square in the building formerly known as Guthrie's. Our aim is to become a hub for local artists, to provide quality arts education for Russell and surrounding counties, and to enrich and enliven our community through the arts. We offer classes, camps, and workshops for children and adults.

ArtWorks is pleased to announce that we are opening a second location. The former Russell County Public Library is the NEW ArtWorks on Main! For decades, this beloved Russell County landmark has served as a place to nurture minds and promote a love of reading. Now, this will be a place for our community to gather, create, design, and innovate. ArtWorks on Main will be home to our Visual Arts program and Smart Start. We are thrilled to expand and make room for Russell County’s visual artists and young learners!
Our original location, on Monument Square in Jamestown, will continue to serve as the home for our dance, music, theatre, fitness, and aerial silk programs. ArtWorks on The Square also serves as a rehearsal and performance space.
Visual Arts classes at ArtWorks on Main begin the last week of January. We will host a Grand Opening Celebration this spring. Make plans to come and celebrate with us!
